August 27, 2007 - Leonardtown, MD - The Maryland Department of Business and Economics Development (DBED) has selected POCmarketing as an Expert Consultant for the state’s Strategic Assistance Consulting Fund (SACF). As part of a small and highly qualified network of consultants in various disciplines, POCmarketing will offer private sector expert consulting services in marketing strategies and public relations to businesses in Montgomery, Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s County.

Yet, small businesses oftentimes lack the financial resources to engage marketing experts,” said Molly Chen, owner of POCmarketing. “It’s an honor to be selected by the state. Administered by the Maryland Small Business Development Center Network, SACF provides up to $5000 to small, minority and micro-enterprise businesses to gain expert services for legal, accounting, marketing, information technology, human resources, and other matters. This includes linkages to DBED loan fund recipients, clients for various entities such as other DBED small business, local economic development agency, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, the Small Business Administration (SBA) and state-sponsored micro enterprise.
